    GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The fate of the infamous Green Bay coal piles has been decided upon. The Brown County Board of Supervisors met for an official vote at the Brown County Central Library on Thursday night, following a tentative agreement reached between officials and the Clemens Reiss Coal Company on Tuesday evening. The official vote reportedly passed the agreement, meaning that the longtime dilemma over the coal piles seemingly has found a solution.

    GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The fate of the downtown Green Bay coal piles is in the hands of the Brown County supervisors. As of Tuesday evening, Brown County officials announced they reached a tentative agreement with C. Reiss Company to move the coal piles to the former Pulliam Power Plant site. Tonight at a special board meeting, Brown County supervisors will decide whether or not to approve the deal. Brown County officials haven’t released details on the terms of the agreement at this time.

    NEENAH, Wis. (WFRV) – Community members can now enjoy alcohol in outdoor areas in certain parts of downtown Neenah. In a 6-3 vote, Neenah alders created a designated outdoor refreshment area (‘DORA’) for several parts of the city’s downtown. The ‘DORA’ would be in effect from noon until 10 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. It will go into effect immediately. “I think we’ve got responsible citizens, responsible council members,” said alder Scott Weber.

Five years ago, a local organization called ‘Wise Women Gathering Place’ first opened up a parking lot on Green Bay’s west side for those in need to have a safe place to stay the night in their vehicles. It’s called the ‘Safe Place Parking’ program.

    APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – The ‘Light The Night Market’ in downtown Appleton had a Renaissance flair this year. “We’re big Renaissance market fans anyways, we go to the Bristol one every year,” said vendor Dave Kodet who is the co-owner of Engrave Situations. “Yeah this is our niche market right here.”Many of Kodet’s products seemed to fit the Renaissance theme including knives and axes. He also wore clothing designed to look like something that people would wear in that era.
