A new bereavement support group has started at Bridlington Hospital. Bridlington Bereavement Support Group is there to offer companionship and a listening ear to those struggling with bereavement. The group is held on the third Thursday of each month in Bridlington Hospital Chapel from 2pm to 3.30pm. The chapel is accessible on the ground floor, and wheelchairs are available in the hospital. Public transport to the site is available, while free parking will be made available to attendees.

A group of Girl Guides from Bridlington have enjoyed the trip of a lifetime – with a little help from TransPennine Express (TPE). Thanks to a charitable donation from the train operator, 14 girls from the 10th Bridlington (Priory) Guides travelled for free to attend their annual camp in Morpeth, Northumberland. The group, made up of girls aged 10 to 16 and three Guide leaders, was able to take part in the memorable weekend.

A community event aimed at supporting people with learning disabilities as well as their families, carers, and professionals who work with them, has taken place in Bridlington. On Wednesday, June 18, CYP Sports Centre hosted the free, family-friendly event as part of Learning Disability Week. It offered a range of fun activities and showcased a variety of local support services.
