The incident occurred on Hawthorn Drive at some point between 9:15pm and 9:25pm. The victim, a man aged in his 40s, sustained broken ribs and a serious head injury. He was taken to hospital by ambulance and is currently in a serious, but stable, condition.

A moped rider aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital for treatment to an injury that was believed to be serious but not life changing or life threatening. He was subsequently discharged from hospital and was arrested on suspicion of a driving offence.
