CINCINNATI — A report from a Spanish news outlet says it will be the Washington Commanders, not the Cincinnati Bengals, to play the Miami Dolphins in the NFL's first game in Spain this season. The Dolphins were announced as the first team in the Spain game back in January, and speculation on which team would face them has flown ever since.

Special agents with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested a 46-year-old Loveland man this week after he sent and received sexually explicit messages and images with a minor, according to court documents. ICE agents arrested 46-year-old Jonathan Travis Mackey Tuesday on charges related to sexual exploitation of children and receipt of child sex abuse material. Investigators with ICE said Mackey exploited victims both online and in-person, and there may be more victims.

CINCINNATI — The Hamilton County Coroner was at the scene of a shooting in Roselawn Wednesday morning. The shooting happened sometime around 5 a.m. Wednesday morning at the Roselawn Summit Apartments in the 1600 block of Summit Road. Our WCPO 9 photographer Katie Cepero arrived shortly before 7 a.m. and saw Cincinnati police officers next to a taped-off area on the side of the building. The coroner was also at the scene at that time.

CHINA — Former FC Cincinnati striker Aaron Boupendza has died, according to the Gabonaise Football Federation. He was 28. According to Turkiye Today, Boupendza fell from his 11th-floor residence at an apartment in China. An investigation into the cause of Boupendza's fall is underway. Boupendza was playing for Chinese soccer club Zhejiang FC at the time of his death. His contract with FC Cincinnati was terminated in August of 2024. He played in the Turkish Super League before that.

CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Bengals bubble practice facility is not damaged nor flooded, despite encroaching floodwaters from the Ohio River, the team said Monday. The Ohio River crested at 60.5 feet, more than 30 feet above normal, Monday morning. The team's facility, located on the west side of the riverfront, was flanked by floodwaters beginning Sunday afternoon, and rising into Monday. We reached out to the Bengals to ask if anything was damaged inside.
