AP Photo/Mark Lennihan The New York City Department of Transportation plans to establish on-street “microhub zones” — two of them in Brooklyn under the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway —as part of a local delivery hub pilot to address the negative environmental and public safety effects of truck deliveries, NYC DOT Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez announced on Tuesday.

Photo: Mary Frost, Brooklyn Eagle The Macy’s building on the Fulton Mall, once the well-known Abraham & Straus department store, has been sold to Al Laboz’s United American Land. This comes after Macy’s announced plans to close 150 of its stores by 2026, according to The Real Deal. The building was never granted landmark status, The New York Times wrote in 2019.

At the time it opened, it was the world’s largest suspension bridge, and remains the longest suspension bridge in North America.
