Police in Elgin are appealing for information to trace Rhys Sutherland (15). Rhys was reported missing from his home address in Elgin since about 7.30pm on Friday, May 9. Rhys is described as 6 feet tall, slim build with brown, short hair. When last seen, he was wearing a grey tracksuit and a black 'Red Hot Chilli Pipers' baseball cap.

Pictures captured show the damage a fire at Tomnahurich Cemetery Hill caused last night. Two Scottish Fire and Rescue Service appliances from the city attended the scene after the alarm was raised at 9.52 pm last night. The crews, using hose reel jets, quickly brought the worst of the flames under control, with the stop message to headquarters relayed at 11.06 pm – an hour and a quarter after the blaze was first reported.

A community walk is set to take place in Inverness for Mental Health Awareness week. Organised by NHS Highland Community Mental Health Services with HUG Action for Mental Health, Centred, Spirit Advocacy, and other third sector partners, will the walk will place on Thursday, May 15. The walk, titled ‘Bridge of Hope: One Bridge, One Breath, One Shared Journey’, will begin at 4pm at The Gathering Place, Bught Road.

Taste of Nairn is continuing into its second day and there is plenty to get your teeth stuck into, according to the organisers. The food and drink festival runs over three days, incorporating two markets, demonstrations, tastings, and a number of individual events. With the festival marking its fifth year, organisers at Nairn Connects BID have also announced a new partnership with the Golf View Hotel & Spa, now the main sponsor of the event.
