    A 30-year-old male has been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder of two people. Around 7.30pm on Sunday, June 1, police were called to Craigton Avenue after reports of a man and woman injured in the property. They were both taken to Raigmore Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

    Road policing officers are warning commuters of delays near Inverness Airport tomorrow. Officers will be carrying out enquiries in connection with a previous crash that took place on the B9039 at its junction with Dalcross Industrial Estate. The junction is an accident blackspot, according to locals. In 2023, five-year-old Theo Crampsey from Ardersier died from injuries suffered in a crash at the junction. Motorists are advised of possible short delays between 7.30am and 9am on Tuesday, June 3.

Following the retirement of Principal Derek Pyle’s retirement Sheriff Macdonald will act until such time as a permanent replacement is appointed. There are six sheriffs principal in Scotland. Each sits as the administrative head of a different court area called a sheriffdom.

According to Jenna, Reiki can sound like ‘it’s a bit mental’ but it provides ‘non-evasive healing and grounding’ for clients. It is a Japanese energy-based healing technique.

King’s Inverness in Smithton Industrial Estate announced that it is set to close its cafe due to rising costs. However, the team plans to host more for the local community now that they no longer have to work around the set hours of the cafe. The Inverness Courier was invited to attend the weekly lunch club, which takes place every Monday at 1pm to find out exactly what is on offer.
