A man drove his van towards an elderly lady’s house and separately attacked another man inside his home. David Stewart (50) was spotted outside the woman’s address in Ardness Place, Inverness, on the afternoon of June 11, 2023, by her daughter, before he climbed into a van and drove towards the house. Fiscal depute Emily Hood told Sheriff Sara Matheson at Inverness Sheriff Court that the mother and daughter called the police and were advised to lock the doors.

A man left unattended by his carer while he went to the toilet sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl inside an Inverness shop. Inverness Sheriff Court heard that Philip Mackenzie (35) pulled the girl into the disabled toilet inside The Range on Eastfield Way, Inverness on February 2 last year, began pushing her to the floor and pulled her onto his lap.

Whin Park has been fully reopened for public use after a climbing frame was temporarily closedOver the weekend, a parent reported that a rope with a metal bolt on a new climbing frame came away and hit him on the arm and narrowly missed his six-year-old child.
