TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) — Once a month, Tucson Medical Center hosts a Laughter Yoga class for its TMC for Seniors program. The class goes beyond simple stretches, including opportunities to induce laughter. “You get the oxygen in the stale air out, the energy up, and it's great for you,” said instructor Jim Ogden, describing the health benefits. Several exercises helped the participants feel comfortable during the session. “It's so contagious," said participant Loretta Meersman.

Alfredo "Freddy" Alvarez is now being honored by the housing authority that saved him from homelessness. Alvarez was walking his dog when he heard the alarms and noticed smoke. That's when he looked up to a nearby balcony to see his neighbor in a life-or-death situation.

(KGUN) — Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos is apologizing for his department's failure to notify the South Tucson community of a military training exercise conducted within the 1.2-square-mile city limits Tuesday night. Nanos says Tuesday night's training, conducted in an abandoned building by Pima Regional SWAT, was in collaboration with the Department of Defense.
