Penn State’s annual White Out Game has been scheduled for prime time Sept. 27 against defending Big Ten champion Oregon, it was announced Thursday. The Nittany Lions will face the Ducks at 7:30 p.m. in a Big Ten opener that will be televised by NBC. Oregon defeated Penn State 45-37 for the conference title in December. The Ducks will be making their first trip to State College since 1964 when they beat the Lions 22-14.

FOX 29 sports anchor Breland Moore, a Muhlenberg High School graduate, will be the guest speaker for the annual Berks County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame Scholarship Dinner June 11 at Victor Emmanuel II Club, Reading. The Berks chapter annually honors 36 outstanding student-athletes, a senior boy and a girl from 18 high schools, with the Dr. Richard Flannery Memorial Scholarship, which has been increased to $800 this year. Moore joined the FOX 29 News team in May 2021.

Former Penn State wide receiver Julian Fleming was seriously injured and a Bloomsburg-area woman was killed in an ATV crash Friday night in Bradford County, according to several reports. State police at Towanda said Alyssa Boyd was a passenger on an ATV that Fleming was driving when it collided with a deer at 8:13 p.m. on Painter Lick Lane in Columbia Township, just north of Troy.
