A hit play featuring stars from EastEnders, Doc Martin and The Witcher is coming to Plymouth as part of a UK tour next month. 2:22 - A Ghost Story is visiting the Theatre Royal from November 28 to December 2 and tickets are on sale now. The production began its life in summer 2021 in London's West End at the Noel Coward Theatre, starring Lily Allen, Julia Chan, Hadley Fraser and Jake Wood.

An area of Surrey has one of the highest Covid rates in England and Wales, according to the latest figures. Surrey Heath had 39.2 new cases for every 100,000 people in the week leading up to October 14. The number puts it at 12th in the list of current Covid hot-spots in England and Wales. There were 35 new cases in Surrey Heath in the seven-day period, two fewer than the previous week. Elmbridge had the lowest rate in Surrey in the week to October 14.

A dangerous driver caught doing 90mph in a 50mph zone in Oxford forced his way past a funeral cortege while being chased by police. Jason Dewsbury, 29, has now been jailed and banned from getting behind the wheel. At around 11am on September 22, road policing officers saw a Vauxhall Zafira that was being driven by Dewsbury travelling at around 90mph in a 50mph zone on the Eastern Bypass, swerving across its lane and bellowing black smoke.

A drug courier from High Wycombe whose cars had special 'hides' for concealing cash and Class As has been jailed. Iyaz Yaqoob, 37, was part of a "large-scale drug supply conspiracy", said police after he was sentenced to 18 years in prison. Yaqoob was first arrested in June 2020 as part of raids carried out to stop an organised crime group. The gang was behind the "nationwide supply of vast quantities of cocaine" during the pandemic lockdown, police said.
