AbstractHigh-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) can be treated with platinum-based neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) and delayed primary surgery (DPS). Histopathological response to NACT can be assessed using Böhm’s chemotherapy response score (CRS). We investigated whether germline BRCA1/2 (gBRCA1/2) genotype associated with omental CRS phenotype.

Ben Thomas and Steven Yawson celebrate with Scott Harries after he scored for Kendal It was definitely a 'game of two halves' for Kendal Town after they lost 3-1 to Colwyn Bay on Saturday. In the first half Kendal were dominant and went 1-0 up when Scott Harries scored. However, after the break, Colwyn Bay came out having made a tactical substitution and looked a completely different team.

A snow covered Queen Katherine School Astro Turf (Photograph courtesy of Vicky Jones) SNOW and frost saw all of the local hockey games postponed at the weekend. Kendal Ladies, who were due to play Brookland Poyntons Ladies, had to call their game off on Friday afternoon when their new Astro Turf facility was covered in snow. Kendal Ladies' second team's away game at Wigton, as well as both of Kendal's Men’s first and second team games, were also postponed.

Squash (Picture from Pixabay) KENDAL Squash Club's teams had a mixed set of results in the latest round of action. The A Team picked up crucial bonus points despite claiming a losing draw at Carlisle. Kendal started well enough after Graeme Braithwaite defeated Carlisle's Mat Belum 3-0, while Max Castaldi picked up a narrow 3-2 victory against James Bell. However, both Andy Chant and Mark Pearson lost out to Carlisle's Dave Box and Joseph Broadley.

Finley Richardson keeping wicket on Saturday IT was a fantastic weekend for Netherfield’s second team as Dan Gaunt’s side picked up wins in both the league and cup. On Saturday, they claimed their first league win of the season after they defeated second placed Blackpool by 48 runs at Parkside Road. Finlay Richardson’s knock of 69 as well as Stephen Jones’ 36 and skipper Gaunt’s 35 saw the home side close on an imposing 217.
