In the 48 hours between Marquette putting the finishing touches on the program's sixth Big East Conference men's golf championship and learning where it would be playing in the NCAA Regionals, there wasn't space on the team's social calendar. The Golden Eagles flew back from Okatie, S.C., late Monday night. They spent Tuesday morning on their Milwaukee campus attending the inauguration of Dr. Kimo Ah Yun as the school's 25th president at the Al McGuire Center.

MESA, Ariz. — After hitting 19,596 shots over 267 rounds in 93 career events between them, Wisconsin golfers Max Schmidtke of the University of South Dakota and Ty Kretz of South Dakota State University bid farewell to college golf Tuesday, both wishing the end didn't have to come so soon. Schmidtke, a sixth-year senior from Sheboygan, went out with a bang.
