    Residents on the west side of Harrison County have rejected a proposition for a sales and use tax requested by Emergency Services District No. 1 to help support services. The district includes part of the Longview city limits. The May 3 Harrison County ESD No. 1 proposition failed with 121 residents opposing it, accounting for 59.61% of the ballots. A total of 82 residents supported it, or 40.39%.
