FRANKLIN- Idaho Days celebration began Thursday, June 26 and goes until Saturday, June 28. Jo Samia, coordinator for Idaho Days, said the three days of celebration has something for everyone. The Lion’s Club hamburger stand throughout Idaho Days. On Friday June 27 they will hold two activities for children from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Farm Bureau will sponsor the Kids corner with activities for children. Following the Kids Corner there will be a Bike/Scooter Parade down Main Street.

HYRUM-The Bureau of Reclamation invited the media to visit the Hyrum Dam spillway replacement construction site Tuesday to show how their work is progressing. Large earth moving equipment is dropping the elevation of the hills west of the dam some 35 feet and filling the area with rocks and boulders before pouring the concrete for the new spillway. Rick Baxter the Provo area office manager for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation said the Hyrum Dam is as important as larger dams in Utah.

LOGAN - The skies around Logan will be filled with thunderous jets, the buzz of airplanes and spectacular parachuters falling from unimaginable heights at the Cache AirFest 2025. The event will be held at the Logan-Cache Airport located at 2500 North 900 West Logan, on Saturday, June 28 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.Friday night before the airshow there will be a meet and greet for the pilots that will be flying the next day with a $10 charge for food. Cache Valley Big Band will be there playing music.

NIBLEY - Heritage Days in Nibley City kicked off last Saturday. There were 146 runners and about 70 kids who participated in the 5-K and one mile run. They also held a Bike Night Out, Chalk the Walk and a Bio-Blitz Citizen Scientist Activity. There was also a disc golf tournament. Events will continue through Saturday, June 21. The biggest days of the celebration are yet to come. Friday evening there is a community dinner held at Anhder Park, located at 294 W. 3200 S.
