Kenny Chesney’s band is stepping out. And like many other Chesney traditions, it happened in Massachusetts. The accomplished veteran band that spends its summer playing for the country music superstar, discovered its own sound during sound checks and backstage jam sessions. Out of those moments, and with Chesney’s encouragement, the six members — Rosie & The Revival — released their own album this weekend.

In the summer of 2005, country singer Kenny Chesney arrived in Boston to perform at Gillette Stadium for the first time. Playing a massive football stadium was a rarity in those days and Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots and Gillette Stadium, understood the risk. “We were grateful that he had the confidence to book a stadium show here,” Patriots owner Robert Kraft said. He invited Chesney to lunch a couple of days before the concert.
