PARKMAN, Ohio (WJW) — It’s not for everyone, but many find that spending time in a tiny house is a great way to spend a vacation. And there is one place just outside of Cleveland that’s a tiny house with a bit of history behind it. The Old Postal Cottage in Parkman is a restored rural post office that was originally built in the 1840s. In 1848, it would have been a very impressive and very important building. GLENMONT, Ohio (WJW) — Normally, if you saw bright red tail lights ten feet above your head, your first thought is probably that someone took a really, really wrong turn. But look again. It’s not just lights, but a vintage 20-foot-long Airstream trailer perched between several trees. “Kevin is so creative, he thinks outside of the box and there is nothing that is not doable,” Laura Mooney said.

CLEVELAND (WJW) – On May 7, 1970, Private First Class Kenneth J. David of the 101st Airborne became a hero. However, David said he’s not. That honor truly belongs to the friends who never came home. “Honor the memory of my buddies who gave their all on May 7, 1970, with Delta Company 1st of the 506 Infantry,” David said. Those seven friends can be found on panel 11 west, lines 121 to 128 of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC.

BEACHWOOD, Ohio (WJW) – FOX 8’s Wayne Dawson was in Beachwood on Thursday giving back to an organization that helped him and many others in their fight against cancer. He presented a $1,000 donation to The Gathering Place. It’s good to see Wayne, even if you’re seeing him not like you’re used to, behind the desk telling you all the things you need to know. Instead, he’s dressed in a dapper track suit.

CLEVELAND (WJW) — It is a great day to be bald. And you can get bald pretty quick at Saint Mark School in West Park. Even before your mom can get a quick picture, the hair is gone. Just like that. But the happiness that comes from knowing that you’re helping others stays with you forever. “I wanted to help the people who have cancer,” said Zeke, one of the Saint Mark students. Zeke is an old pro at this. He’s had his head shaved during the Saint Baldrick celebration for the past three years.
