    A 41-year-old Saskatoon man is recovering after police say he was stabbed, tasered and sprayed with bear mace around 22nd Street and Avenue P on Thursday. Officers were called to meet the victim near Avenue L and 22nd Street around 6 p.m., the Saskatoon Police Service said in a news release. Police say the man, suffering from a stab wound, told the officers a group of men and women attacked him down the street, at Avenue P, using bear spray, a Taser and a knife.

    A Saskatchewan couple with a history of animal neglect allegations was just found guilty of additional charges in a B.C. court earlier this month. Rhees William Kendall and Tanisha Lynn Kendall, formerly of the Swift Current area, were charged after SPCA animal protection officers seized 177 animals in distress from their property in Ladysmith, British Columbia between Oct. 31 and Nov. 16, 2023, the B.C. SPCA said in a news release. “Many of the animals were emaciated.
