    The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is warning Kindersley residents they may have been exposed to measles last week if they visited two local businesses. Anyone who visited Cameron’s Clothing company between May 5-8 or went to the pro shop at the Kindersley Regional Park and Golf Course on Wednesday evening may have been exposed to measles, following confirmed measles cases in the community, the SHA said in a news release Tuesday.

    If you looked around a worksite considering what items may be a target for thieves, a multiple-ton pile of reclaimed asphalt might not register as a risk. But the Saskatchewan RCMP says one group in west-central Saskatchewan gazed upon the rubble and saw opportunity. In a news release on Tuesday, the RCMP said officers from the Rosetown detachment are on the hunt for people who stole several tons of reclaimed asphalt from a property near the hamlet of Stranraer.

    With Saskatoon’s city-run greenhouse effectively shuttered, administration is exploring the idea of finding outside partners to share the use, and cost, of a potential new facility. In February, the parks department warned the 64-year-old city-run greenhouse was on the verge of being condemned. An engineering assessment outlined concerns about rotting wood components, cracking and falling glass and snow loads in the winter.

    Viterra Canada says no one was injured when four grain cars derailed near its terminal in Saskatoon on Saturday. Photos from the scene shared with CTV News show one CN Rail grain car tipped off the track just east of the Viterra terminal, located on 11th Street adjacent to the Montgomery neighbourhood. CTV News contacted CN Rail about the incident and was told to direct questions to Viterra.

    A former Regina Pats coach who sexually assault a teenaged player during a hockey camp appears poised to receive full parole following a review last month. Bernie Lynch, 70, was handed a three-year sentence in January 2024 for sexually and physically assaulting a 17-year-old boy who was staying at his apartment while attending a Regina Pats hockey school in 1988. The player came forward to police in 2021.
