AURORA, Colo. — The City of Aurora and Arapahoe County are locking horns over who should prosecute domestic violence cases. Both sides say they want justice for domestic violence victims and their families, yet both claim they have no money to pay to prosecute those cases. There is certainly no argument about the seriousness of domestic violence cases. “We’re very conscious of victims,” said Pete Schulte, Aurora city attorney.

Her husband recently accepted a job at the University of Colorado Boulder, and the two are making the move from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. “We’re here now,” Kinney said. “We made it. It’s been a long transition, and we are here. Now we need to find a house.”Kinney said owning a home in Boulder would be a dream scenario. However, like so many others, it may be more practical to live in a neighboring city like Louisville or Longmont.

GRANBY, Colo. — The clock is ticking for the Grand County Animal Shelter. We first told you last year about the need for a new space to take in the area's stray animals. Denver7 | Gives The county sanitation department owns the building the animal shelter currently occupies, and sanitation finally needs the space after 25 years of lending it out. Through donations, Grand County Pet Pals was able to raise enough money to purchase the land for a new shelter.

BOULDER, Colo. — Denver7 has learned that the Independent Interfraternity Council at the University of Colorado Boulder, also known as IFC on the Hill, does not offer Narcan to the 21 fraternities it oversees. The information comes on the heels of six students overdosing on what police believe could be possibly tainted cocaine at Kappa Sigma on Saturday night. IFC on the Hill is not affiliated with the university, which has its own Interfraternity Council.
