LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - The time has come for our final pair of all Laredo teams and tonight it’s all about the girls of the softball field where many players made a case for the top award. In the end we couldn’t go away from Alexander’s Carmen Perez and the work she did in getting the Bulldogs back to the playoffs this season. The senior put a cap to her high school career with a batting average just under .500With 42 hits with 2 home runs and 23 RBI’S.

LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Los Dos entered the 3rd inning up 2-0 and promptly gave up six runs to Laguna and that proves to be too much for the Tecos to overcome. They’d chip away at that lead but can’t never erase it, falling 6-4 in game one of the three game series. For more headlines, click here. Copyright 2025 KGNS. All rights reserved.

LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - The United Longhorns made some history this past weekend becoming just the 11th team ever from the gateway city to qualify for the state seven on seven tournament. When all was said and one on Saturday United were able to take down Austin Anderson 27 to 13 in the championship game with that victory the Longhorns will be making their 6th ever trip to College Station for the state seven on seven tournament later this Summer.

Just watched this regional winning play by the Washington LL team over Oregon and still can't wrap my head around it. Not only was it obviously foul but the ump raised his hands signifying it was foul, only to let the play stand, EVEN AFTER REPLAY! https://t.co/Q72ZUgUVlo
