LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - There is a new reason to visit Father McNaboe Park in North Laredo as the skate park is now open to the public. The grand opening of the installation occurred on Friday, June 6. District 7 Councilmember Vanessa Perez stated that the skate park is part of ongoing efforts to enhance amenities and improve the city park. The ceremony also included an update to the paddling trail plaque in memory of Laredoan Arturo Jimenez.

LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - A chase in South Laredo concluded with several undocumented immigrants, including a pregnant woman, in federal custody. The chase occurred on Wednesday, June 4, starting in the Cielito Lindo area near a South Laredo high school and concluded with a crash at the intersection of Palo Blanco and U.S. Hwy 83. Border Patrol reports that an undocumented pregnant woman was taken to the Laredo Medical Center (LMC) for medical attention.

Webb County, Tex. (KGNS) -Now is the time to catch up on any delinquent tickets you may have. A new program is set to start that will deny vehicle registration or renewal to people with outstanding ticket violations. The Webb County Tax Office said the program named Scofflaw Program could start either August or September of this year. The tax assessor collector posted on social media that the Webb county’s Commissioners Court officially approved it.

LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Two people are questioned by the Texas Department of Public Safety over a Stolen Truck Found in Laredo on Saturday. Troopers told KGNS that the truck was out of stolen from San Antonio and was found in Laredo during a traffic stop on Market Street and Springfield Avenue. According to Troopers, the two suspects were transporting it with a flatbed. The truck was identified as a 2023 Dodge TRX, 3 on a flatbed. DPS is interviewing the suspects regarding this case.
