Michigan has scored a commitment from a kicker in the 2026 recruiting class. Micah Drescher, who attends Hinsdale Central High in Illinois, announced his college decision Wednesday in a post on social media. The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder is ranked as the No. 4 kicker this cycle, according to Chris Sailer Kicking. He also punts for Hinsdale Central. “Micah is an outstanding high school kicking and punting prospect,” Sailer writes in his scouting profile.

The Wolverines also have recruited well at the position, although some of their best linemen recently were either transfers or ranked outside the top 150 in their class.

Saline High School offensive lineman Louis Esposito didn’t know what to expect after attending a camp hosted by Michigan’s football program last week in Ann Arbor. The class of 2027 recruit and son of Michigan defensive line coach Lou Esposito felt like he performed well during the camp. He learned just how well when offensive line coach Grant Newsome brought him into Sherrone Moore’s office, where the head coach extended him a scholarship offer. “It was a dream come true,” Louis told MLive.
