OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — A Central Florida family is living in fear after a convicted murderer was mistakenly let out of jail in Georgia. Kathan Guzman was supposed to be serving life in prison for killing 19-year-old Delila Grayson in 2022. They both attended Poinciana High School and authorities believe Guzman is now back in Florida. The Clayton County Sheriff told WFTV’s sister station in Atlanta a combination of training and people not paying attention led to the mistaken release.

ORLANDO, Fla. — Central Florida leaders are shining a light on a distinguished group of veterans that served in the U.S. 65th Infantry Regiment. The 65th also known as the “Borinqueneers,” were nicknamed for the Taino Indians who were the native inhabitants of Puerto Rico, or Borinquen. The unit is an all Hispanic group made of mostly Puerto Rican soldiers.

April 13th is National Borinqueneers Day! The day honors the service of the all-Latino 65th infantry regiment known as the Borinqueneers. The youngest members of the distinguished group of soldiers are now in their 80s and 90s. I had the privilege of sharing their story today. https://t.co/8tPg9nSbfx
