WFTV operates alongside WRDQ, an independent station on channel 27, as part of a duopoly. Both stations have their studios located on East South Street (SR 15) in downtown Orlando, while their transmitter is positioned between Bithlo and Christmas. Additionally, WFTV can be found on cable services in Lakeland, which is included in the Tampa Bay market.

MELBOURNE, Fla. — The man accused of shooting a Melbourne teenager to death over the weekend will stay in jail without bail. Stephan Dieujuste, 24, had his first court appearance in Brevard Co. Monday afternoon. Melbourne police say Dieujuste and 19-year-old Nathaniel Jennings got into an altercation early Sunday. It happened downtown near Vernon Place and New Haven Avenue. Dieujuste said he recognized a man walking with Jennings.
