Adams plans to submit the requisite 3,750 signatures due May 27 to secure a November ballot spot on a public safety-focused line, he and an aide told POLITICO.

Cuomo is now running for mayor and leading every poll of Democratic primary candidates. All nine people who spoke to POLITICO about Citi Field were granted anonymity, which they requested out of fear of angering the ascendant former governor. “We got Citi Field ready to open, and for two weeks, the state denied our request to allocate our own vaccine to the location,” someone assigned to Covid relief efforts in the de Blasio administration told POLITICO.

It’s no longer surprising, but it’s still very telling that the mayor won’t answer *this* question from @katie_honan, which is about an essential topic for any NYC mayor and especially one who came up in law enforcement. His Trump stance is likely to keep hurting him politically.

Mayor continues to ignore questions on 9/11 health fund, instead putting his camera right in my face and reusing his Inner Circle joke with spox @KaylaMamelak to joke about needing legislation to do an involuntary removal on me. Seems like simple Q to answer by a former cop. https://t.co/Uk4ksuiqmZ
