BOSTON (WHDH) - Gov. Maura Healey traveled to Washington DC Wednesday to meet with President Joe Biden, a spokesperson said. Healey was one of several governors who met with the president as he contended with the aftermath of last week’s debate against former President Donald Trump. After the meeting, the governors of New York, Minnesota, and Maryland promised to support the president.

(WHDH) - Former federal prosecutor Evan Gotlob on Friday said he would be nervous if he were the prosecutor in the ongoing Karen Read murder trial after jurors sent a note to Judge Beverly Cannone saying they were unable to reach a verdict. Cannone told jurors to continue deliberations anyway. But with a lunch break early Friday afternoon, there remained no verdict as of around 1:45 p.m.“Usually, this is either a hung jury or they’re leaning to acquit,” Gotlob told 7NEWS.

DEDHAM, MASS. (WHDH) - Legal experts shared their reactions Friday after jurors in the ongoing Karen Read murder trial were unable to reach a verdict through more than 17 hours of testimony. Among those sharing their thoughts, former federal prosecutor Evan Gotlob said he would be nervous if he were the prosecutor. Jurors sent a note to Judge Beverly Cannone shortly after 12 p.m. saying their “exhaustive” had not yet yielded a unanimous decision. Cannone told jurors to continue deliberations anyway.
