Kuminga said his performance "would have felt great" if the Warriors won Game 3: "I'm glad things went well but it doesn't feel well when you don't get the win."

Butler: “I don’t care how many shots I shoot. I don’t care how many points I score. If it’s not toward winning, none of that ever matters. So, 26 shots, 36 shots, next time, it has to be in a win.”

Butler: “We’re still as confident as ever and we’re going to go back to the film and the drawing boards and figure it out, come back in here on Monday and get this thing to 2-2.”

Kerr said the Warriors are “right there. We feel great about our chances and this is what the playoffs are all about.” Said he “liked where we were, we just couldn’t finish. So, the formula looks good” while noting there are “some adjustments to make.”

Kerr on Jimmy Butler: “Incredible. He really controlled the game for us and put us in position to win and we just couldn’t close it out.”

Kerr said Jonathan Kuminga “played one of the best games of his life. It was fantastic to see. You can see how necessary he is in this matchup. … Just been impressed how he’s handled things the last couple weeks with the way he stayed ready … and it paid off tonight.”

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr highlighted 13 offensive rebounds for Minnesota as a deciding factor in Game 3. Pleased overall with Golden State’s defense, but noted how Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle powered Minnesota’s close. “That was the difference,” Kerr said.

Buddy Hield scores 14 for the Warriors, who force 21 turnovers for 13 points. Valiant, cohesive defensive effort. Draymond Green sat half the third quarter with foul trouble before fouling out in the fourth. Lane opened for Minnesota without him. Julius Randle: 24/10/12.
