The Ulster County Fair will make its grand return to the fairgrounds in New Paltz from Tuesday, July 30, to Sunday, Aug. 4. Headlining this year’s fair is the Marshall Tucker Band, who will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3. Other musical acts include Joe Adee & the Lug Nuts, Mark Wills, Frankie Justin, Raelynn and Jake Hoot. The fair will also feature multiple live performances by Circus Incredible, chainsaw carvers and Carrie McQueen, stilt walker.

This weekend will see sunny skies and little to no cloud cover across the mid-Hudson Valley. According to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service, residents in Orange, Sullivan, Ulster and Dutchess counties should see a continued reprieve from the extreme heat and humidity that has characterized most of the summer so far. Across the region, temperatures will steadily climb from the low to upper 80s throughout the weekend, with clear, sunny skies across the board.

Nicholle Hoke, 45, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, was sentenced in Orange County Court to four to 12 years in prison following her guilty plea to aggravated vehicular homicide.
