    The season to celebrate graduation is upon us and ‘Pop-up Prom Shop Donations’ is here to help. “I think we have 1,000 dresses - any colour, any size - we’re totally size inclusive, so we have dresses all the way up to 25,” said Kiley Stanley with Clearview Community Church. Prom season is an exciting time for many, but not everyone has the means to purchase the gown, the glittery jewelry and the heels to complete the perfect outfit.

    Wednesday is Vimy Ridge Day and a 16-year old Barrie student is one of twenty selected from across the country, to travel to Europe and pay respects and honour the history. Pania Ghanaian is a grade 12 student at Barrie North Collegiate and a recipient of the Vimy Pilgrimage Award from the Vimy foundation. “The application process consisted of an essay about some aspect of the First World War, I wrote mine about the contributions of children to the war efforts,” says Ghanaian.
