ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A Georgia Gwinnett College student is working to keep girls in school in Burundi. Gratia Uwizeye said many of the girls drop out because they don’t have feminine hygiene products, school supplies and can’t afford their uniforms. She is trying to get a system down to change that. What might look like suitcases full of pads and tampons, but it’s really a way for women to gain access to education. “It is more about dignity,” said Uwizeye.
