CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — Mount Pleasant native and Academic Magnet grad Andrew Novak made the perfect comeback earlier this week after coming up one stroke short at the RBC Heritage golf tournament on Hilton Head Island. Novak fell to Justin Thomas in that tournament, however it did not take long for him snag his first career PGA Tour victory exactly one week later at the Zurich Classic in New Orleans.

GAFFNEY, S.C. (WCIV) — The closure of Limestone University in Gaffney at the end of the season has left many students, including athletes, searching for new opportunities. Among them are KJ Asbury and Sharod Williams, a dynamic duo of graduates from Philip Simmons High School known for their impressive performances on the field. "We had big names come out of HS, we dang near ran the lowcountry together. Any school that looks at KJ, they are looking at me," said Williams.

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — With Limestone University in Gaffney shutting its doors, several Lowcountry athletes who played there are looking for a new chapter. One of those athletes is Yannah Seaberry, a First Baptist High School graduate and freshman with three years of eligibility remaining, with the hope of continuing hoop dreams. "Limestone means a lot to me," Seaberry said.
