BEAUMONT, Texas — The former Beaumont Independent School District electrical contractor who defrauded the district of $1.2 million more than a dozen years is set to appear in court Tuesday were a judge may revoke his probation. BEAUMONT, Texas — A 30-year-old Beaumont man has been arrested and charged with murder after a shooting early Tuesday morning that left one man dead,  Travon Alexander, 30, of Beaumont, was taken into custody after police say he shot Joel Jenkins, 33, following a fight during a game of dominoes. The fatal shooting happened at about 1:05 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13, at a home in the 1400 block of Prairie Ave, according to a news release from Beaumont Police.
