The restaurant's owner, Amir Jalali, previously worked at Goldee's, which ranked third on the Texas Monthly list.

    BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont Police announced Tuesday afternoon that they have arrested a 19-year-old Southeast Texas man they say is the 12th suspect in a recent string of shootings in the city. Latrick Williams 19, came to the Beaumont Police Department on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, to speak to detectives and ended up being arrested in connection with the shootings, according to a news release from police. The shootings left eight people injured over a one-week period earlier this month.

    BEAUMONT, Texas — No arrests have been reported yet after a man was critically injured in a shooting Monday night at a home in Orange. The shooting happened just before 10 p.m. at a home in the 2000 block of 6th Street. Witnesses at the scene told a 12News crew they heard several gunshots. The wounded man was found inside the home and was flown by helicopter to Beaumont's Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in critical condition.

    BEAUMONT, Texas — Severe storms swept through Southeast Texas early Tuesday morning prompting multiple emergency rescues in Newton County and leaving thousands without power. The storms passed through after 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, leaving 16,661 power customers without electricity as of 6:40 a.m. Jefferson County recorded the highest number at 5,861 customers affected.

    BEAUMONT, Texas — More than 16,000 Southeast Texas residents are experiencing power outages Tuesday morning after a line of heavy storms passed through Southeast Texas. overnight. Several Beaumont ISD campuses will be starting at 9 a.m. due to the outages, according to the district. They are Amelia, Vincent, Curtis and Caldwood. The storms passed through after 1:30 a.m. Tuesday morning and while there is still some rain left in the area the severe weather has passed.
