    ATLANTA — People who filed claims after the 2017 Equifax data breach may be eligible for additional settlement payments. The Equifax data breach, which occurred in 2017, compromised the personal information of 147 million customers, including Social Security numbers, birth dates, addresses and driver’s license numbers. Channel 2 consumer advisor Clark Howard has learned that a supplemental fund has been established to provide additional payments to affected individuals.

    ATLANTA — Georgia U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene says if the U.S. were to carry out attacks on Iran over their ongoing conflict with Israel, the move would split the MAGA movement. During an interview this week on the One America News Network, Greene said that many of Trump’s followers would feel betrayed by the move because it would be going against Trump’s normal “America First” stance. “It’s going to fracture it, and it’s already fracturing it,” Greene said.

    PUTNAM COUNTY, Ga. — The drowning deaths of a man and his fiancée while boating on Lake Oconee have been ruled accidental. Gary Jones and his fiancée Joycelyn Wilson vanished on the lake in February, and for months we’ve been waiting for a ruling over how the couple died. Putnam County Sheriff Howard Sills put that to rest on Wednesday, confirming that the couple’s deaths were accidental. Wilson’s body was found the day after the couple were reported missing.

    HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC — A swimmer had to be airlifted to a Savannah area hospital after they were bitten by a shark. Emergency crews said the swimmer was bitten on the leg just after 12 p.m. on Tuesday off the coast of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
