The Canberra community is being reminded that 3D printed guns and gun parts are illegal. An incident last week saw ACT Policing officers attend a school after being informed that a staff member had brought a 3D printed handgun to the school. The gun was not shown in a class and the teacher returned home later that day. Police later executed a search warrant at the teacher’s home, where the firearm was seized as well as the 3D printer used to make the firearm.

Each year, the flying Kangaroo offers the opportunity for local organisations… to pick up the share of two-million dollars…. as part of the Qantas Regional Grants program. Sadly, there were no winners last year from the A.C.T.However, QantasLink C.E.O. Rachel Yangoyan hopes 2025 will offer crucial opportunities for Canberra’s community groups.

ACT Policing officers from Woden Police Station located explosives, drugs and ammunition during a vehicle search in WanniassaAbout 4pm (Sunday, 13 April 2025), police located a White Mazda 2 in a carpark at the Erindale shops and later, a search warrant was executed on it.

ACT Policing is seeking the public’s assistance to locate missing 42-year-old man Garrod Hyde. Garrod has not been seen or heard from since 3pm today (Monday, 14 April 2025) and was last seen in the Fyshwick area. He is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 170cm (5’6”) tall, with a solid build, fair complexion, brown hair and a full beard. He was last seen wearing a striped black, white, and brown shirt, long grey pants, black boots and carrying a black backpack.
