SALT LAKE CITY — Helping the most vulnerable in our state is Utah Community Action’s mission. They are the largest nonprofit in Utah, serving more than 53,000 people, and that includes the more than 1,200 children in the Head Start school program. But nearly all of the Community Action funding comes from federal grants, and officials fear that money could be on the chopping block in the next federal budget. Utah Community Action actively helps people who are living at or below the poverty line.

SALT LAKE CITY — Spring is in the air, and that means trees, flowers, and plants are blooming, but there is another annual rite of spring in Utah: potholes. This is the third year Salt Lake City and their street teams will be out and about, in force, trying to patch as many of those road divots as they can over the next 7 days.

SALT LAKE CITY — Starting next school year, your child won't be able to use their cellphone at school. The new law banning those devices in Utah public schools was signed into law by Governor Spencer Cox on Thursday. The official name of Senate Bill 178 is Devices in Public Schools. Now, Utah school officials across the state are already busy making sure teachers, administrators and students are all on the same page when the next school year begins this fall.
