HUNTINGDON COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — A nearly 4-year-old cold case in our region is solved. The remains of 48-year-old Eric Morder, who had been reported missing in Huntingdon County in July of 2021, have been found. Huntingdon Borough police made the announcement Friday after they say hikers, in the area known locally as "the cliffs," called them Wednesday to report finding clothing, a wallet, and keys in that area. Police were able to use details in the wallet to confirm the items belonged to Morder.

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — In a unanimous vote, Johnstown City Council voted Monday evening to appoint Taylor Clark to the council seat left vacant by now assistant city manager Mike Capriotti. It was in January when Capriotti put forth his resignation to assist city manager Art Martynuska. Council began accepting applications for the seat, and in February held a public interview process for the four candidates who put their name in contention.

SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) --- Two people are killed after becoming trapped in a house fire in Confluence Friday night. 911 dispatchers tell 6News the call for the fire came in just before 6 p.m.Crews from Somerset county, Fayette county and Maryland all responded to the scene in the 200 block of Covered Bridge Rd.Our crew on scene reports part of the roof collapsed. We're told a State Police fire marshal has been called to the scene to investigate.

01/28/2025 — SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Windber Police Department is alerting residents to a scam that occurred Tuesday. According to Chief Andy Frear, a woman received a distressing phone call from someone who claimed that her grandson had been in an accident in Johnstown and required money to be bailed out of jail. Approximately two hours after the call, a man described as black, with cornrows and dressed in dark clothing, visited the woman's home to collect the money.

01/23/2025 — CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — A man is dead following a shooting in Johnstown Thursday night. Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees tells 6News that police were called to a home on D Street just after 7p.m. following a shooting. They arrived to find a man deceased of a gunshot wound. Lees says the victim appears to be in his 20's. His identity is being withheld at this time as his next of kin is notified. Lees says the man was shot as he was coming out of the home.
