Russell County Students Eligible for Summer Food Assistance Program

Russell County students will be among those eligible for the Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer Program. The Summer EBT program provides a one-time benefit of $120 to purchase nutritious food throughout the summer. Children attending schools participating in the National School Lunch Program are automatically enrolled in the Summer EBT program. Governor Andy Beshear said the program aims to address the spike in child hunger that occurs during summer break.
