    Penn State has added another blocker to its 2026 recruiting class. Benjamin Eziuka, a three-star offensive lineman from Michigan’s Detroit Catholic Central High School, announced his commitment to the Nittany Lions on Tuesday. The 6-foot-3, 290-pound Eziuka is ranked as the nation’s No. 65 interior offensive lineman and No. 755 overall prospect, per 247Sports’ composite rankings. He chose Penn State over Stanford, Cincinnati and others.

    The work is not yet done for Mike Rhoades in piecing together a Penn State roster for next season. The Nittany Lions do, however, appear set to take a step forward by adding a coveted international prospect. Melih Tunca, a 19-year-old guard from Turkey, has committed to Penn State, Eurohopes reported on Monday. He will join the Nittany Lions for the upcoming 2025-26 season.

    A pair of former Penn State players have landed on the ballot for the NFF College Football Hall of Fame’s class of 2026. Ki-Jana Carter, the star running back of the Nittany Lions’ undefeated 1994 team, and defensive end Courtney Brown were on Monday named as two of 79 players under consideration for induction. This marks Carter’s fourth consecutive year on the ballot.

    Saquon Barkley has made Penn State, video game history. Following a Super Bowl win in his first year with the Philadelphia Eagles, Barkley will be featured on the cover of Madden NFL 26. He’s the first Nittany Lion to ever be named as the game’s cover athlete. Barkley was also given a 99 overall rating, the first Eagles player to join the exclusive club since kicker David Akers in 2006.

    A fresh group of players, including a pair of intriguing transfers, arrived on Penn State’s campus in May. And on Friday, these 12 newcomers received their uniform numbers. Trebor Pena, the speedy wide receiver who earned All-ACC honors at Syracuse this past season, will wear No. 8. Meanwhile, linebacker Amare Campbell, a former starter at North Carolina, has received No. 24, last worn by Ta’Mere Robinson, who transferred to USC in April.
