UPDATE (3:43 p.m.): The Prichard Police Department has begun an internal investigation after one of its police officers was arrested in Orange County, Florida. According to a news release from PPD, the department learned of David Cunningham’s involvement in the May 24 incident on June 2. “We are currently awaiting an investigative report from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office to gain a clearer understanding of the circumstances,” the release said.

UPDATE (3:02 p.m.): The Harrison County (Miss.) Sheriff’s Office has provided more information after a Prichard police officer was arrested in Orange County, Florida. According to an HCSO news release, 22-year-old David Cunningham of Mobile, Alabama, was arrested on a felony count of kidnapping. Kristin Allen of Gulfport, Mississippi, was arrested on a charge of hindering prosecution.

UPDATE (10:10 a.m.): Prichard Mayor Jimmie Gardner has released a statement on the Wednesday morning shooting that injured a 2-year-old. Mayor Gardner began his statement by recapping what happened and acknowledging the family’s difficult times. “The child was rushed to the hospital and is currently in stable condition. Our thoughts and heartfelt prayers are with the child and the family during this unimaginably difficult time,” read a portion of the statement.

(Getty Images) Mobile, Ala. -(WKRG)- A two-year-old was shot in the face around 1:00 Wednesday morning on St. Stephens Road, according to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office. MCSO says the child was in bed with their parents when shots were fired. The child was taken to the hospital. No word on their condition. So far, no arrests have been made.

UPDATE (6/2 9:45 a.m.): Mobile Police Department officials have identified the man who was shot and killed inside of the Saenger Theatre. 27-year-old Carl Williams III was shot inside of the theatre while a dance recital was being held. Officials said the alleged shooter, 27-year-old Marcus Sanders, got into an argument with Williams, which is when Williams, along with another person, was shot. Sanders turned himself in Sunday night.
