    Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Magic Kingdom is closed for a major refurbishment that includes replacing the coaster’s track and other improvements. On Wednesday morning, we saw crew members entering the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad queue. One was carrying water bottles for the team. The green and transparent tarps on the front of the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad building have been replaced by large brown tarps. They block most of the view into this section of the queue.

    The Disney Resort Line at Tokyo Disney Resort will introduce tickets with QR codes this summer. Single tickets and day passes with QR codes on the backs will be distributed beginning on July 28, 2025. In July 2026, Disney Resort Line will completely switch to QR code tickets. Guests will still be able to use nationwide IC cards. The video from Tokyo Disney Resort below describes how to use the QR code tickets, by tapping them at the ticket gates to enter and leave a station.

    It’s Pin Tuesday! New pins that arrived at Walt Disney World include a Spider-Man “Superhero Transformations” pin, a Pin Trading 25th anniversary medal, a Winnie the Pooh set, and the 2025 Hidden Disney mystery pouch. This pin, which comes on a comic book-inspired backing card, features artwork of Peter Parker getting bitten by the radioactive spider. Spider-Man is depicted above Peter, representing the transformation.

    Select rooms at the Disney Ambassador Hotel in Tokyo Disney Resort have been decked out with decor for Donald’s Quacky Duck! Duck! Duck City!The decorated rooms are marked with porthole-shaped plaques on their doors. The plaques feature Donald wearing a crown, waves, and “King of the Stars” around the room number. Though there are special Donald Duck decorations, for the most part this is a standard hotel room. All the furnishings, carpet, and wallpaper are permanent.

    The new Tauntaun bucket has arrived at Disneyland for Season of the Force 2025, a celebration of all things “Star Wars.”Tauntauns first appeared in “Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back.” Han Solo famously cuts open a dead one that Luke was using as a mount and puts the freezing-cold Skywalker inside to save his life. The Tauntaun is a light gray color, which helps it blend in with its snowy surroundings on Hoth. It has two curved beige horns on the side of its head, under its ears.
