    MISSOURI (KOAM) -- A judge sentences two men to prison after trafficking methamphetamine from Dallas to Joplin. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, U.S. District Judge M. Douglas Harpool sentenced Juan Alvarado-Alvarado, 45, a Mexican National, to 192 months  (16 years) in federal prison without parole followed by five years of supervised release. He plead guilty last September.

    Authorities are looking for Thomas Eugene Tolbert, 27. Tolbert is a black male, around 240 pounds, and is 6 foot 2 inches tall with brown eyes and black hair. At the time he was last seen, he was wearing a black top with a hood, and black shorts. He is armed with a handgun and considered dangerous. Around 11 p.m. Sunday, June 1, law enforcement responded to a domestic disturbance at 3560 SW Hollywood Drive in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

    JASPER COUNTY, Mo. (KOAM) — Just before 6:45 p.m. Sunday evening reports of a crash at a familiar crash location, Baseline Blvd and Mo-43, alerted E-911. Tri-Cities Fire, Asbury Fire, Jasper County Deputies, and METS ambulance responded. Missouri State Highway Patrol were notified. Mo-43 was immediately closed due to the two disabled vehicles in the roadway. SGT Brad Crockett tells KOAM’s Shannon Becker preliminary information on the scene.

    MIAMI, Okla. (KOAM) — About 9 p.m. Saturday reports of shots fired at Mia Bella’s Restaurant, 1200 block of North Main Street alerted E-911. A male had fired a weapon from outside, through the glass into the restaurant. Miami Police Chief Stephen Sigmon tells us, “officers arrived on the scene, confronted the subject [in the parking lot]. Exchanged gunfire and a foot pursuit ensued.”The short foot pursuit traveled across Main St to the west. Gunfire was exchanged at Arby’s.
