If you’re a fan of artists like Vampire Weekend, Fall Out Boy or Jenny Lewis, chances are that you’ve heard Greta Morgan’s music live. Morgan’s band The Hush Sound — which toured with Fall Out Boy while Morgan was still a suburban Illinois high schooler — signed on to Pete Wentz’s label DCD2 Records (then Decaydance Records) in the mid-aughts. She went on to create a number of projects, from solo band Springtime Carnivore to a punk cover album with LA rocker Katy Goodman.

Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Rodrigo, Tyler, The Creator, Doechii and TWICE are among the artists set for Lollapalooza 2025, it was revealed Tuesday morning. They’ll be joined by Korn, RÜFÜS DU SOL, Luke Combs, A$AP Rocky and many more when the festival returns July 31-Aug. 3 at Grant Park. Four-day, lowest-price tickets will be available for one hour only starting at 10 a.m. March 20, and fans will need to pre-register for the offer at lollapalooza.com.

The Pitchfork Music Festival came very close to celebrating its 20th anniversary this July in Union Park. But late last year, the festival’s parent owner, Condé Nast, announced that it was permanently shuttering the Chicago festival. The news surprised many Chicago music fans, who’d come to rely on the festival as a place to discover music outside the dominant pop mainstream — music that spanned different genres and generations.
