    DENVER (KDVR) — A juvenile girl was taken to a hospital after a stabbing incident at the Aurora Science and Tech Middle School, according to the Aurora Police Department. Police said that two girls got into a dispute on the athletics fields, which escalated when one of the students produced a knife, and one of the girls stabbed the other. Police told FOX31 that the suspect is in custody, and the victim has serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

    DENVER (KDVR) — Two people were shot in a moving vehicle on Saturday at 7:22 p.m., according to the Aurora Police Department. A man was driving a vehicle with a woman in the front passenger seat and three children in the rear of the vehicle. Police said a vehicle pulled up beside them, matching their speed, and shot the man driving and the woman in the passenger seat. The incident occurred going southbound on Airport Boulevard near East Colfax Avenue.

A combination of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Office of Emergency Management, U.S. Forest Service and Teller County Sheriff’s Office are working to contain the forest fire. The fire is near Highway 67 and Rainbow Falls. Approximately 150 acres have burned, and the fire is at 0% containment.

    DENVER (KDVR) — South Metro Fire Rescue is on the scene of a small brush fire, according to a post on X from the agency. SMFR said that the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is assisting in preventing the spread. SMFR provided an update at 5:05 p.m. that the fire was contained at around an acre of size and crews are searching for hot spots. The fire was located near 16022 Parkside Dr.SMFR said the fire was about 50 feet long and slowly spread toward residences.
