WELLSBORO, Pa. (WETM) — A meal that’s been served for as long as people can remember returned to Wellsboro on Sunday morning. The Fly-In Breakfast at the Grand Canyon Regional Airport drew around 1,000 diners, helping to raise money for aviation scholarships. On Sunday, May 25, the Canyon Pilots Association held its All-You-Can-Eat Fly-In Breakfast at the Grand Canyon Regional Airport in Wellsboro. People drove to dine in, while 10 others decided to fly for the occasion.

HORNELL, N.Y. (WETM) — Vendors around the Southern Tier and Upstate New York were featured at the Wildflower Festival held at Union Square Park in the City of Hornell on Saturday. The festival ran from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, with festivities like free painting activities for children and almost 70 vendors showcasing their arts and crafts. Some of the objects in the images above included jewelry made from polymer clay and pictures made of oil and acrylic paint.

SAYRE, Pa. (WETM) — Trauma survivors were welcomed to a gathering at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital to share their personal stories in observance of National Trauma Survivors Day on Wednesday, May 21. One of the patients in attendance, Ray Rowe, recalled a tractor incident on August 7, 2024, where he was pinned down after pulling an uproot tree with his tractor. He explained the tree fell on the rollover protector part of the tractor, with Rowe pinned under it, lying on the ground for 45 minutes.

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) — Graduates walked in Elmira College’s 167th Commencement Ceremony with, around 162 students fulfilling their academic chapters, on Sunday, May 18. Students walked across Park Place in Elmira through an audience of between 400 and 500 people, exchanging waves with people as they approached the front. Among the students were 142 undergraduates and 20 others at the graduate level. A majority of them will be receiving Bachelor’s degrees in Science.
