The hacker first accessed the system on July 2, 2024, by entering credentials to RIBridges’ virtual private network, or VPN. Through November, the hacker was able to browse files and folders tied to RIBridges, according to a summary of the investigation completed by CrowdStrike, a cybersecurity technology company, released by Governor Dan McKee‘s administration on Thursday.
