Infamous for terrorizing the United States for nearly two decades, the man known as “The Unabomber” has died in federal prison. Just after midnight Saturday, Theodore “Ted” Kaczynski was found unresponsive in his prison cell in North Carolina, according to CBS News. He was pronounced dead around 8 a.m.Kaczyinski was reportedly transferred to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons' FMC Butner, a medical center, for undisclosed reasons in 2021.

A “loud boom” heard over Washington D.C. and Virginia Sunday afternoon caused much concern for those nearby. Two military fighter jets scrambled after an unresponsive private flight traveled into a restricted airspace over Washington, D.C., and Virginia, The New York Times reported. The North American Aerospace command sent two F-16 fighter jets to respond at hypersonic levels.

It was supposed to be Ace’s routine nighttime walk. Almost immediately after Justin Fuller walked out of his front door with the 10-year-old goldendoodle under pouring rain one recent Friday night, the dog was shot in the face by officers from Detroit’s Wayne State University, who were responding to a neighbor’s request for a wellness check.

The country is yet again in mourning after at least two more mass shootings rocked parts of America, barely a week after a gunman killed five people in a Louisville, Kentucky, bank. The first shooting took place in Louisville around 9 p.m. as hundreds of people were enjoying the warm weather at Chickasaw Park on Saturday night. The scene was marred by a gunman who started firing at the crowd, killing two people and leaving four others injured, according to The New York Times and WLKY.
