FALL RIVER — The MIAA released another tournament power rankings on Friday for Fall River area spring sports teams. The rankings only include scores entered into Arbiter, verified by MIAA and schools as of May 9 at 4 a.m.The top 32 baseball, softball, boys volleyball, lacrosse and tennis teams qualify for the tournament, regardless of record. Teams 33 and below qualify for a play-in game with a .500 or better record.

FALL RIVER — Thirty-one athletes from the Fall River area have been placed on the Player of the Week ballot. This poll is for performances from tennis, track and boys volleyball for the week of April 21-May 3. There will be one male and female chosen. Nominees are based on roundup collected during the week. Supporters of the schools — Atlantis Charter, Case, Diman, Durfee, Somerset Berkley and Westport — and student-athletes can visit heraldnews.com to vote for the person of their choosing.
