SANDUSKY, Ohio – Theme park giant Six Flags is finalizing the layoffs of 10% of its full-time staff this month, including the elimination of numerous positions at Sandusky’s Cedar Point, part of a cost-cutting move following last year’s merger between Six Flags and Cedar Fair. It’s unclear exactly how the layoffs will affect operations at Cedar Point and other parks, but several longtime former executives are speaking out on social media about their concerns.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Construction will begin next week on a $3.5 million project to expand TSA screening lanes at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. The project will double the lanes – from two to four – at the Central security checkpoint in the middle of the terminal. Construction is expected to last until January. The checkpoint will remain open during construction.
