MADISON, Ohio (WJW) – A Northeast Ohioan cheats death and survives unthinkable odds after what presented as a cold or the flu turned out to be a potentially fatal heart arrhythmia. “It’s really hard to wrap my head around it,” said Kathleen Fleischer, choked up. Wednesday night, Kathleen and her family met all of the people who helped save her at the Madison Fire Station. “Because I really wanted to say thank you,” she said.

CLEVELAND (WJW) – Three teenagers who risked their own safety to save a young child who was drowning were honored Wednesday night for their heroism. Fifteen-year-old Cameron Swann, 14-year old Kirvon Johnson and 14-year-old Kesean Wilson received a standing ovation and thunderous applause as they stepped up to get the awards. “I had to do what I had to do with my boys,” said Wilson. “I was scared,” added Johnson with a smile. The humble but courageous trio’s quick thinking saved a 7-year-old child.

MONROEVILLE, Ohio (WJW) — A food delivery driver was arrested this week in Ohio after investigators say he attempted to arrange sex with underage girls in exchange for vapes, alcohol and other contraband. Travis Brown, 39, of Huron, was taken into custody by the Huron County Sheriff’s Office in cooperation with the HEAL Human Trafficking Task Force.
