Devin Dantzler, who was apprehended in Columbia, South Carolina, after allegedly committing the double homicide in Berkeley County on Nov. 26 will stay behind bars until his next court date which is scheduled for Feb. 14, 2025. At around 10 p.m. on Nov. 26, deputies were called to a residence on Spires Landing Road in reference to a shooting. Deputies said they located two victims who had been shot and were pronounced dead on the scene.

After two deadly police pursuits in the Lowcountry last week, South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy leaders are outlining their policies and the dangers of pursuits. The SCCJA teaches future officers to drive with precision knowing that they'll be met with any and all sorts of situations on the roads.
