LITTLE ROCK, Ark. β€” A Weather Impact Alert has been issued for intense heat that will be in Arkansas through Monday The combination of hot temperatures and tropical dew points will send the heat index values, or feels like temperatures, into the dangerous range for the next several afternoons. A dome of heat is shifting east this week, so that means that the chance of a pop-up shower or storm increases slightly.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. β€” The summer solstice is happening this week, and it's very timely, considering that the summer heat and humidity is returning this week. We've managed to maintain near-average or below average temperatures so far this month β€” thanks, in part, to the unsettled, rainy pattern that has dominated the past few months. Monday will be another near-average day, as scattered showers and storms remain in the forecast.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. β€” June 1 kicks off Meteorological Summer, so we can all collectively agree that we made it to the end of the spring severe weather season. Spring 2025 was an active, record-breaking season, right from the start. Here's what we saw. March was warmer than average, with an average temperature of 59.1Β° (compared to the climate normal of 52.7Β°), and a rainfall deficit. However, when we did receive rain, it was often accompanied with severe weather.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. β€” Happy Mother's Day to all mothers and mother-figures out there. Hopefully this weekend's rain hasn't put too much of a damper on the celebrations. We do have to get through one more day of rain on Monday before things change for the latter half of the week. A low pressure system will travel up the Mississippi River, bringing in scattered showers and storms before it moves east on Tuesday.
