HELPER, Utah – A Utah mom grieving the loss of her son gave back to her community in a labor of love that benefited kids of all abilities. Valorie Marietti wanted to honor her late son Jace by building an all-abilities playground. It was a big task that took years and a lot of love to finally finish. Jace spread kindness to everyone he met despite battling health challenges. “Jace had a genetic disorder called Cockayne syndrome. It is 100% fatal,” Marietti said. Jace rapidly aged in reverse.

GOOD NEWS Jun 17, 2025, 8:57 AM | Updated: 8:59 am SALT LAKE CITY — Miss Utah crowned Miss Timpanogos as its 2025 winner on Saturday, meaning Jordyn Bristol will receive a $15,000 scholarship and represent Utah at the Miss America Competition in September. During the competition, Bristol, a resident from Lehi, was also awarded various scholarships in the amount of $250 to $350 for the evening gown preliminary award, the overall interview award, and the overall evening gown award.

There are new developments, including dozens of new restaurants, shops and new businesses like Amazon and a second Costco.
